Don't know how to put this without sounding corny so I guess I should just lean into it. My time at Kickstart has been awesome. I feel lucky to have worked with and met so many weird but great people. It has been an unexpected bonus to be given the opportunity to travel to both Hong Kong and Suzhou to be able to interact with our studios there in person. They are such a talented group and bring a strong snack game to the office which I think says it all.

Coming from a live-action background, I was a bit nervous about starting a new career path in animation. However, the team at Kickstart immediately welcomed me and was so patient as I was learning to do my tasks. I also really appreciate having the flexibility of working from home or in the studio. I enjoy coming to the beautiful studio and working alongside very talented and fun individuals. And as a mom of two young ones, I also value the ability to work from home when the kids are not feeling well and adjust my schedule if need be. At Kickstart, I feel supported in my career and I feel that I am part of a cool and unique community.

Working at Kickstart was my introduction to the animation industry, and it was supposed to be a short stay, but now they can't keep me away. Not only do I get to do something I enjoy every day, but I now have the confidence to take on new tasks/projects/challenges, which is something I've been lucky to carry with me outside of just my creative work. That confidence was something that was graciously given to me by a truly wonderful group of people that seem to have a never-ending supply of warmth and support... and dogs. Everyone has a dog. It's awesome.

Goin' to Kickstart with ma mums is da best part of ma week -- they have a pawesome dog policy that makes it a-okay for us pupperinos to go to works, too -- and dey keep treatos at da front desk. Errybody loves bein' there just as much as me, because dis company takes care of their people and doggos really good... and they make cartoons dat are almost as cute as me.
